Tracy Reese has been in the fashion industry since 1998 and produces ready-to-wear pieces. The designer gained even more following after the First Lady, Michelle Obama wore one of her dresses. I was thrilled to had been invited by her team to interview Ouidad's Creative Director, Morgan Willhite backstage at Lincoln Center. My interview was to start at 11:15 a.m. but due to the crazy hectic scene backstage, I didn't get to speak to Morgan until about 11:35 a.m. When I was finally allowed into the hair prep area, it seemed that they just started to work on the models. Morgan and the Ouidad team wanted to go with a very laid back hairstyle. In order to achieve the look, they used Ouidad's volumizing foam and texture taffy. Soft, loose wavy effect was created with Bed Head BH305CN1 Crimper (Tourmaline Ceramic Deep Waver).
When asked for tips when trying to pull off the look at home, the curly haired stylist had one thing to say "Don't obsess about each strand of hair. The cool thing about this look is that it isn't perfect and it doesn't have to be."
