April 2016 Favorites

I know that it's already the 10th of May but I am only blogging about my April favorites now. I have just been super tired and busy and whenever I do try to blog, my laptop decides to install upgrades and then I get impatient and just put it off altogether. So, with that said, let's get into my April favorites!

I have been on a "strobing" (right? that's what the cool kids say?) high lately so everything I've been using make my face very glowy. Let's start with the face- I've been mixing Nature Republic's Illuminating Foundation with Neutragina Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Foundation as my face base. The illuminating foundation from Nature Republic is way too glowy as a sole foundation so I always mix it into regular foundations. I've also been using my elf Contour and Blush duo to contour my face and the elf cream blush in coral. I love cream blushes because I prefer a dewy look. I know that elf has more colors and I hope to get my hands on the other ones as well.

I'm actually really interested in testing out contour products from other brands but since budget is tight, I can always trust elf to deliver beautiful results. I've also been using Maybelline's Master Conceal Concealer a lot- it livens up my under eye area and it doesn't crease on me and that's why I love it. I am obsessed with Wet N Wild's Photo Focus Eye Shadow Primer! It works really well and for the price, it's amazing! My all time favorite eyeshadow primer is the Urban Decay primer.

Since I ran out of that, I've been using the Wet N Wild primer everyday. I'm awake by 5:30 in the morning everyday and I'm usually done doing my makeup by 6:15 a.m. and I'm at work for 9 hours everyday and when I get home, my eyeshadow game is still pretty darn good. I love it so much that I buy a couple whenever I get a chance. I am also loving Wet N Wild's brow definer. I put it on after I do my brows and my brows will stay in place for the whole work day. This is another Wet N Wild product that I buy a lot of when I see it at the drugstore.

After I do my makeup, I set my face (under eye and t zone area) using Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder and Rimmel's Natural Waterproof Bronzing Powder (all over my face). For lip products, I've been loving Too Faced's lipstick in Taffy, Milani's Color Statement lipstick in Naturally Chic and Rimmel's The Only 1 lipstick in Naughty Nude. I've also been lining my lips with Rimmel's Lasting Finish lip liner in 1,000 kisses (if that's even the name of the shade I have). I've also been loving Rimmel's new ScandalEyes mascara. I've tried a couple of Rimmel mascaras before but nothing really stood out to me. I decided to try this one because it was on sale for like $2 at Rite Aid one day and I really like it! It doesn't smudge on me and I have worn it to work on several days so it's definitely been tested. It doesn't create spidery lashes but it does lengthen my lashes and volume is buildable so this one gets a thumbs up from me.

So, that is pretty much it for my April Favorites. As much as I'd love to go on a Sephora shopping spree, Michael and I really need to be super strict when it comes to stuff like this because our wedding is one year and 9 days away! With that said, see you guys around.
