With our engagement party just around the corner, I really haven't had the time or money to purchase makeup willy nilly. In addition to my lack of makeup shopping, I also gave away a lot of makeup. I recently realized that I was at a point when I was totally obsessed with buying things but then not really using them. I wanted to put a stop to that immediately therefore I handed 40% of my stuff to my sisters. For September, almost every one of my favorites is a product that I've had for a while but still love using.
September was a major transition for me- I was promoted at work, requiring me to dress a bit more professional. With this change, I have been finding myself sticking to natural looks more than ever. I have been in love with the Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette from tarte since the day I bought it. It's been a reliable matte palette for when I want to wear shades other than just brown and black. I think that the palette is quite pigmented and just so practical. I also love that I can build up the shades for maximum effect. Another palette that I've been using lately is L'Oreal's La Palette Nude 1. It's a great drugstore product- the quality is impressive. E.L.F.'s Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder has been one of my absolute go-to products! My sister let me use it once and I was obsessed! The bronzer is not obnoxious in hue, it is easily blendable and really complements my skin. I've also been converted into a Roller Lash fanatic overnight. I've been using it since I got it which was during the summer. I love the volume and length it gives my lashes! I also don't notice that much smudging so that's a plus. For blush, I've been using Milani's baked blush in Luminoso which is just both beautiful to look at and wear. If I've done any makeup shopping, it's foundations that I've been focusing on. I must have purchased at least five foundations within the last month. I just really want to try everything so I knew which ones work best for me. So far, Maybelline's FIT Me Dewy Foundation in soft honey and Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation in sand are the two best foundations I have right now. This particular foundation from Rimmel is one of my must have products- I keep stock because it seems to be always sold out at stores. I really like the natural look that Maybelline's Fit Me foundation gives me. I also am all about dewy foundations at the moment. For lip color, I've been repeatedly using Wet N Wild's bare it all. Wet N Wild's matte lipstick line is the best you'll find at the drugstore!
