Spring has (thankfully) finally touched down in NYC and that means putting away the heavy and dark winter clothes, reorganizing everything and shopping (for anything that is bright and cheerful). I thought it would be great to start the transition with a mini retail therapy- makeup retail therapy to be exact. While I am trying to cut back on my Sephora visits (wedding planning and all), I still want to try new products or at least, items that are new to me. My favorite place to get a great deal is at the drugstore (and Target).
Over the weekend, I purposely searched Rite Aid for the new Wet N Wild Color Icon palettes from their spring collection. Unfortunately, I did not find any but I decided to revisit and check out a couple of palettes they have. I've used 'Comfort Zone' before but I don't quite remember how I liked it so I got the palette. The three palettes that are new to me are 'Poster Child', 'The Naked Truth' and 'Art in the Streets'. I also picked up 'On a Trip' from their Megalast nail polish collection.
I also stopped by Target and Nordstrom to get a couple of things. I originally went to Nordstrom to see if they carried the NYX Butt Naked Turn the Other Cheek palette (I REALLY want to get my hands on it!) but the only palette I saw was the Wicked one. I did, however, get Lorac's The Resort Palette ($15!) so I'm excited to try it. I also picked up two lipsticks from NYX (my first NYX lipsticks!) and I'm looking forward to using them as well. I picked up Revlon's ColorStay Color Envy in 'Hot Hand' and Rimmel's Lasting Finish Colour Rush lip balm in 620 Lady Marmalade.
I haven't had the chance to try all of the products but I'll definitely update.
