There probably isn't a better way to begin the new season than to enjoy delicious grub from some of the world's best restaurants and chefs. The New Taste of the Upper West Side comes back for its 8th annual food festival tomorrow, May 27th. The 3 day extravaganza kicks off with Soiree in the Park- a cocktail party at Theodore Roosevelt Park. The event will feature dishes from neighborhood favorites Sarabeth's, Calle Ocho, Gastronomie 491, Savoury Indian Restaurant & Bar, The Milling Room and Luke's Lobster. Proceeds from the event will help raise funds for the park. Tickets can be purchased here.

Festivities continue on Friday evening with Comfort Classics hosted by Adam Richman. The tented party will take place on Columbus Avenue between W.76 and W.77 Streets. This foodie's dream event will feature 40 of the city's best restaurants including Momofuku Milk Bar, The Meatball Shop, Insomnia Cookies, Haru, Sugar and Plumm, Treat House and Elizabeth's Neighborhood Table just to name a few. Tickets can be purchased here.

Capping the festival is an event called Best of the West hosted by Marc Murphy and Anne Burrell. The event features an impressive line up of local culinary talents such as Haley and Lauren Fox of Alice's Tea Cup, Glenn Rolnick of Carmine's, Chris Wall of Enoteca, John Frasier of Dovetail, Jean-Georges Vongerichten of Spice Market (and other prominent NYC establishments), Bobbie Lloyd of Magnolia Bakery and many more. This is also the first time that there will be a VIP reception featuring a champagne and beer bar. VIP guests will also be treated to gift bags filled with goodies from sponsors. Tickets can be purchased here.
