The Village Voice Hosted its 2nd Annual Choice Streets Event Last Night
Foodies swarmed the Intrepid Museum last night, where Village Voice hosted its 2nd Annual Choice Streets event. Over 15 different food trucks participated in the food tasting event including Seoul Food Truck, Mike N Willies, Nuchas, Mac Truck, Hibachi Heaven, Valduccis and more. The event was an overall success but there were a couple of set backs: the last minute security protocol change and the missing food trucks. The security change did not affect folks with general admission tickets. It only affected the press. Our team (and other media personnel) had to get on the "general admission" line rather than the "press/VIP" line that we had been cleared for. Truthfully, this was a little frustrating but we complied- it wasn't the end of the world.
Since we got in much later than expected, long lines had formed for the food trucks that we were dying to try (MacTruck, Nuchas and Seoul Food Truck). Under the assumption that the lines would eventually get shorter, our team headed for the trucks with a short wait time.
